Job Description
VacationCity is the World's Leader in selling Costa Rica Vacations. Daily our Travel Agents receive contacts from tourists by phone, chats and email that need assistance in planning their vacation to Costa Rica. Travel Agents are the critical connection between the customer and vendor of the service that the customer is wishing to book. Our Agents first listen to the customer's needs and desires and then discuss with them their options. Next we check for availability and finally we book the reservations. All of this is done using quick & easy modern technology though our fabulous website and custom programs that give the Travel Agents complete confidence and control over the customer. Our agency works with all areas of tourism in Costa Rica and we are equipped to offer all services. Travel Agents are experts in helping tourist with how to move within the country, where to stay & what to do. By helping the customer select the right hotel, connecting them with the correct means of transportation along with the offering them the perfect way to spend their free time we make their vacation experience memorable.

Requirements
Travel Agents are required to have extensive country knowledge, prior sales knowledge, be bilingual in reading, writing and speaking, professional, and must have good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Package, Internet Explorer and Email. Any prior tourism knowledge will be helpful but prior Travel Agent experience is preferred.

Expected Earning Potential
Travel Agents receive a base salary between $500 & $600 per month plus BIG sales commissions. Depending on country knowledge & sales ability the earning potential for Agents is currently between $1,000 & $2,500 per month but this is expected to increase over the next 6 months.

Work Schedule
Applicants must be able to work rotating schedules of days, nights & week-ends. Our office is open 365 days per year, Sunday to Thursday from 7:00am to 9:00pm., Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. Agents work alternating schedules from 7 am to 4 pm, 9 am to 6 pm and 1 pm to 9:00 pm.
